Senior Associate
Chris is a Senior Associate in our Planning Team and joined Best Hooper in 2022, having been admitted to the profession in 2015.
Chris has broad experience advising and advocating on behalf of developer clients (at all levels) in respect of a broad range of planning and environment matters, with particular experience in planning appeals. Given the background to his legal practice, Chris also has significant experience in advising local government clients in respect of governance matters broadly and brings an intricate understanding of the local government sector to his practice at Best Hooper. Specifically, Chris has significant experience in:
- Due diligence and planning application strategy;
- Planning appeals;
- Restrictive covenants; and
- Planning and building enforcement.
Chris recently earned recognition in Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in the area of planning and environment law. He also earned recognition in the 2025 Best Lawyers of Australia ‘One’s to Watch list’. Chris is also an active member of the Victorian Planning and Environment Law Association, the UDIA and the Australian Property Developer’s Association.
